Nara Narayan Sevasram SanghaEducation
Education is an important matter which helps us to grow and gain knowledge; we provide educational training to the residents. From the beginning of our journey, we have focused on the Child education program and till now 650 children took part in this program. We distributed textbooks among the students free of cost and have a plan to extend this work. There are a total of 6 teachers who are attached to this educational program.
Health
NNSS NGO arranges health camps to provide basic health services and facilities to poor people. A meeting was held to inform people about the deadly effects of HIV/AIDS on men and women. Health Camps are regularly organized with the help of primary health centers. It has been observed that the health camps are very effective and fruitful for increasing health-seeking behavior among beneficiaries. We often organize blood donation camps with the help of local people and maintain the continuity of blood in hospitals. From IIMC Sonarpur, 3 doctors help the underprivileged people of the area and so health check-ups and free medicine distribution.
Awareness
NNSS NGO wants to create awareness among the common people through awareness programs. We have been generating consciousness among people through leaflets, flyers, and other materials in every camp. They are distributed among people which help them to know about our services such as Anti-drug, Mother and Child Care, Environment Pollution, Women Empowerment, etc.
Agriculture
The agriculture status of rural areas is still underdeveloped as farmers don’t know about scientific farming. With our contribution, ideas and local collection, we arrange a training program for the development of agriculture as the process of cultivation is still old. To develop the agriculture sector of the rural areas, we provide help to the farmers through various agricultural resources. We organize camps to provide the right tools, knowledge about new technologies, distribute free seeds, control pests to grow agricultural status. We organize these development programs in collaboration with the State Govt. to distribute kits, provide training on farming, distribute low cost seeds, etc.
Free Food for Poor
We have also started a free canteen or lunger in the urban areas of Birbhum to provide free food for the poor and homeless people of Bagdah. 10 days a week our members cook food and distribute it among people; a little try from our Sangha to provide food to everyone.
